Doak Turner’s Big 50th Birthday Bash
On July 23rd, at Douglas Corner, Doak Turner’s friends threw him a huge late birthday party. Yours truly was one of the songwriters Doak requested sing some songs. I performed “I Know A Heartache,” “You Look So Good In Love,” and “The Most Beautiful Girl.”
Doak is the owner and editor of the newsletter Nashville Muse which goes out to thousands of songwriters around the world. During the party, he was presented with a citation from Mayor Karl Dean acknowledging both his charitable works and all the help he has given to songwriters through The Muse.
Biased person that I am, I still think you were great! Ditto the people at my table.
