Rory and the Round

Hi everybody,

Please don’t write me to say this video is nothing more than a shameless piece of self-promotion because I knew that when I did it. This past week, we were in Portland. I told my daughter, Leslie, about the upcoming Bluebird round on August 16th. She said, “Dad, you should do a post to publicize the round.” Before I could say no or stop myself there I was promoting myself and my roundmates. They are not shameless self-promoters such as myself.

    Hi Rory. Hope the night went well. I’ll bet it did! Your daughter was right on the button…As an old newspaper man, let me add that it pays to advertise. The promo clip reminds us of your ‘session’ in Mayo last year. Great memories. Keep pluckin’ that guitar and singing those lovely songs of yours!

    It’s so good to hear you sing your own songs. Every note is music to my ears! It was also good to hear someone voice my own opinion of getting ready… 60 to 70 hours of intense practice!!!

    The show was fabulous!!! Do another one in November when I come back to town.
